Ta’Neasha Chappell, a young healthy Black woman, was being held in a Jackson County Indiana jail. On July 17th 2021 Ta’Neasha died after almost 24 hours begging for help. Over and over again she pleads for help and every officer blows her off accusing her of “faking it”. Every officer and the nurse of the Jackson County jail, Ed Rutan, failed her. She died in a nearby hospital.
Ta’Neasha is a mother, a sister, and a daughter. Those officers and nurse need to be held accountable for their negligence!
